How does ZOOM PRO communicate?
ZOOM Pro uses the GPRS service on GSM networks to communicate via an IP (Internet Protocol) connection. This allows for almost instantaneous communication no matter where you are in the world.

What happens when there is no network coverage at all?
From time to time you will find yourself travelling through areas that don't have any network coverage, when this happens the ZOOM Pro will automatically store the vehicle tracking information and send it when your driver re-enters the coverage area.

How do I see where my vehicles are?
ZOOM Pro is a web based tracking system. This means that all you need is a standard internet browser to manage your complete fleet, no special software is required. You can log into your user account from anywhere that has internet access.

If this is on the internet, can anyone see my fleet?
No, the ZOOM Pro application uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol to protect your data. Additionally, your fleet can only be accessed using a unique username and password that only you know.

How do I communicate with my drivers?
Zoom Pro gives you the ability to send text messages directly to your drivers, these messages are displayed in an 'inbox' on your drivers navigation screen. The driver then has several options for sending a reply; they can give a simple YES/NO reply or enter a more descriptive answer by using the on-screen keypad.

Knowing where my trucks are is great but I don't always know where they are going. Will this help?
Yes. Not only will ZOOM Pro show you exactly where your drivers are , but it will also show information about their next destination such as:
- Destination address
- Distance to the next destination
- Estimated time of arrival (ETA)

How do I know when my driver has completed a delivery or pickup?
When leaving a 'stop' the ZOOM Pro will ask the driver if they are done. The drivers response automatically updates the web dispatch list and shows you what their next destination is, ETA, etc.

Can I send more than one address to the driver at one time?
Yes. You can send a complete route or itinerary to the ZOOM Pro so you driver only has to press the "GO TO" button to start their day.

I use a dispatch program to create my routes, will this work with ZOOM Pro?
The ZOOM Pro application is designed to work seamlessly with 3rd party software, best thing to do is check with us to make sure. The ZOOM Pro also has a SOAP interface to communicate with various different applications please contact us for the API.

I already have a Garmin StreetPilot what do I have to do to make it work with ZOOM Pro?
The ZOOM Pro software is embedded directly from the Garmin factory. All you have to do is ensure you have the latest version of firmware for your Garmin unit. Updating firmware is quick and easy please visit Garmin directly for upgrades.

While the installation of the ZOOM Pro is quite straight forward, we recommend that you use professional installation services for your fleet.

The ZOOM Pro! application allows you to organize your fleet into specific groups to easily manage your vehicles.

What happens if I remove the Garmin unit from the vehicle? Does the system stop working?
When the Garmin is removed the ZOOM Pro continues to monitor and report back the activity of your vehicle but you can no longer send messages to the Garmin. When the Garmin unit is removed, dispatch is notified.
